[Arp] How to Set up Netconnection for Coldfusion?

Hi Tien,

I've wanted to dig my oar in this thread with all this CF bashing
going around but I'm flat out on a big Flex project. Have you seen
this example Flex/Flash/ColdFusion code on our blog (admittedly with
Cairngorm but as far as the remoting bit goes pretty much the same):

This is one approach, I think the old _remoteClass trick on a CF
struct may work as well but I don't have time to try it out at the
moment. Do go with upper casing the properties of your VOs, it's a
work around for the most annoying bit (IMHO) of Remoting with CF.

BTW Jesse, I wouldn't use CFCs as VOs on ColdFusion (too slow to
create, no real encapsulation), structs are fine and keep with the
RAD emphasis of CF - if you want strong typing etc use Java - or just
do all your VOs in Java and instantiate them from ColdFusion (perhaps
that was what Aral was doing?).

Good Luck,
Robin
