[Arp] Is ARP too much trouble?

I had a conversion with someone after last nights Flash Dev meeting,
who complained that ARP was too much trouble to use. They said that
commands weren't reuseable and needed references to the views. That
setting up an application required much work before getting into the
meat of the application, such as setting up the control and
registering commands. I have often thought about creating some
mechanism for auto registration of commands, but haven't gotten round
to do something about it.
Having only built one application using ARP, I couldn't really give
them a satisfactory answer. Also, it's this persons first ARP
application as well.
Any thoughts?
